Chemical Name: Sodium Salt of Arene Sulphonates
Chemical Family: Aromatic Six Member Ring, with sulphonates as the main funct
  Chemical Formulae : Not Determined
Product Use: As levelling and dispersing agent, for disperse dyes during dyeing of Polyester and its Blends.
Product Note : This product is to be used esp. in light shades, and with dye particles of large size. It breaks the disperse dyestuffs into smaller particles, creating a dispersion, and then those small dye molecules are transferred to the substrate with levelled dyeing.
Testing Data Sheet for Advalev-p Print version
Advalev-p is a non-foaming levelling and dispersing agent for the dyeing of polyester fibres with disperse dyes under high temperature conditions. Advalev-p also aids in trimer control to reduce oligomer redeposition on fabric and equipment.
  Typical Data:
  Chemical Character
  Naphthalene Sulphonates
  Appearance : Yellowish brown liquid
  Active Ingredient % : 25% , R.I = 29
  PH value : 7
  Storage Stability
Stable upto one year under normal conditions of temperature and pressure.

  Specific Properties:
  • Outstanding leveling effect
  • It improves dye bath conditions. It improves the dispersion stability and migration properties of disperse dyes when dyeing under atmospheric or under high temperature conditions.
  • Reduces dye spots: Under high temperature dyeing conditions and when the dyebath is subjected to severe agitation, dye agglomeration and possible precipitation may occur, which manifest itself as dye specks. Advalev-p helps prevent individual dye particles from agglomerating during dyeing. Special components in this product increase the solubility of the disperse dyes in water and produce dissemination of any agglomerations that may occur. This results in increased migration and fiber penetration of the disperse dyes.
  • Promotes level dyeings under critical dyeing conditions, e.g. one-bath dyeing of polyester/cellulose blends
  • Marked leveling effect, including high-affinity dyes and substrates.
  • Suitable for leveling out or partial stripping of faulty dyeing.
  • Excellent dye penetration
  • Promotes very good penetration of dye on wound packages and tightly woven fabrics (HT dyeing equipment)
  • Prevents unlevel dyeings on cheeses (inside outside effect on tightly wound packages)
  Special Features:
  • De-aerating and foam suppressing effect.
  • Reductive After Clear: Advalev-p is very effective in afterclearing baths for polyester. Reductive post clearing Advalev-p supports the fastness-improving effect of the reducing agent by dispersing unfixed dye particles and their decomposition products and preventing them from separating out of the liquor and redepositing on the fibres. In both post-clearing methods, Advalev-p also reduces precipitation of detached PES oligomers, which have a strong tendency to crystallize out as the liquor is cooled below 100 degree centigrade. It is completely stable to normal after clearing concentrations of caustic soda and sodium hydrosulfite. After clearing can be carried out as as under
  • Guideline recipe for alkaline reductive clearing
  • 2-3% Sodium Hydrosulphite
  • 2-3% Caustic Soda
  • 1% Advalev-p
  • 70C for 15 mins , neutralize with acetic acid, rinse well.
  • Stable to electrolytes, hardness salts, alkali and acids.
  • Especially suitable for polyester/cellulose blends in one-bath, “all in” procedures together with disperse and direct dyes and additional auxiliaries.
  • Highly stable, low-viscosity physical form.
  • Simple handling through stable, low-viscosity physical form. Also suitable for use in automatic dispensing units.
  Application :
  Dissolving Method :
Readily soluble in water in all proportions

- X% Disperse Dyes
- 1-2 g/l or 0.75-1.5% Advalev-p
  • Note
  • Advalev-p prevents too great affinity between the dye and the fiber throughout the dyeing cycle, thus promoting outstanding, uniform penetration, and the retarding effect is regulated by the amount of Advalev-pused.
  • In higher amounts, Advalev-p has a shade weakening effect. If the product is used for shade correction, the liquor ratio should be fairly high. Furthermore, to achieve the required results, the temperature should be 10–20°C above the usual dyeing temperature.
